So after all that summit talk...there actually was no summit. This via the Miami Herald...
"ESPN is reporting that Dwyane Wade, LeBron James and Chris Bosh had a meeting about their futures right here in Miami.
790 The Ticket has learned via Michael Wallace of the Miami Herald that Dwyane Wade was not even in Miami this weekend.
(UPDATE) Bosh & Wade's agent Henry Thomas has denied the ESPN report to Michael Wallace the Miami Herald.
Michael Wallace of the Miami Herald had this article in yesterday's edition where he interviewed Wade at Chicago's O'Hare airport.
790 The Ticket's Jorge Sedano has learned that Wade's itinerary beginning Thursday went like this...
Thursday: Las Vegas
Friday: Chicago (in court to wrap divorce case)
Saturday: Still in Chicago, "Taste of Chicago" w/ kids, Saturday night dropped kids off at new ex-wife
Sunday: All day in Chicago, met w/Mike Wallace at O'Hare
Sunday night - flew back from CHI to destination X
Wade is currently at undisclosed destination on vacation to set his professional agenda.
So, the reality is that IF these players met anywhere it was last week on Wednesday in Las Vegas.
It could not have been Thursday because Chris Bosh was making the rounds through the ESPN car wash."
So the three stooges never met this past weekend. So much for believing things you read. Although they could have spoken over the phone, you have to take the previous report about a summit with a major grain of salt.
Plus, Bosh himself has stated that the three of them playing in Miami together won't happen.
"I don't see it happening," Bosh told the Herald last weekend. "I don't even know how it would work. It sounds pie in the sky. Riley is known as a guy who is like a mastermind-type genius. He's probably having a vision one day. But who knows? I don't see it happening."
Neither do I, Chris. Neither do I.
Meanwhile, the media is going absolutely insane with speculation and reports are surfacing all over the place that New Jersey is the new frontrunner for LeBron, or Miami is the new frontrunner, and the Bulls seem to be disappearing more and more in these reports. I look at it as a flavor of the week type of thing. The Bulls were the flavor of the week over the weekend. Now, it's the Heat/Nets. The media keeps spinnin' 'em and spinnin' 'em. Mark my words people...NO ONE KNOWS WHAT IS ABOUT TO HAPPEN. But word is LeBron wants to make his decision by the 5th, and we could get a decision by Independence Day. 4 more hours people.
