We're nearing the end of the season, which means it's time for the Bloguin NBA Panelist team to vote on power rankings.  That'll be up in a day or two, but I figured I'd post my own power rankings in the mean time.  I had a tough time deciding between New Jersey, Washington, and Minnesota for the bottom 3.  Washington is on a 12 game losing streak, while Minnesota is on a 13 game losing streak, but New Jersey has the worst record by far.  I really think Washington is awful, even worse than the T-Wolves personnel-wise, so that's why I put them below Minny.  And New Jersey had to get the last spot.  7 wins?  Come on.

For the rankings...hit the jump.

Just re-signed Big Z...this team is now set for the playoffs. Prepare for LeBron vs. Kobe in June.

Can't wait for Kobe and LeBron to meet in the finals.

Deron=best point guard in the NBA right now. Period.  Rose is on deck Bulls fans...please don't hate me.

Melo and Chauncey are dangerous...but not dangerous enough to overtake Kobe and co. It should make for an exciting Western Conference finals though.

Butler and Haywood have obviously been huge for this team, but Dirk is soft. And he's not a winner. Don't drink the kool-aid.

Dwight Howard. That is all.

This team is solid, but just doesn't have what it takes to compete with the Western Conference's elite. Nash may retire having never made it to the finals.

Bogut is playing like a young Shaq. This team could end up being a sleeper in the playoffs, but too bad the old Shaq will eat Bogut for lunch...if the Bucks can even make it out of the first round.

Solid, but similar to the Celtics. Old, injured, and nearly washed up. Simply cannot compete with the Lakers, Nuggets, and Spurs

Losing some winnable games lately...not a good look.

Washed up. Old. Injured. Can't wait to see this team get torn apart in the offseason.

Z-Bo reignited his career with an MVP like season. But he still looks like he can down 5 Big Macs in one sitting.

Durant may be the most prolific scorer in the league. If they can lure some free agents to surround him with, this team could be a perennal playoff contender.

Good young team, but management is now in disarray. Does anyone know what's going on in the front office of this franchise?

With Michael now owning the team, should we expect him to bring along the Wizards curse? Or will this team finish strong and make their first playoff appearance ever? I'm hoping for the former.

Rose and Noah are back...and with Rose putting up LeBron numbers in his 2 games back, the Raptors better look out.  Derrick is eyeing the playoffs and the rest of the Bulls are along for the ride.

Only 3 games up on the Bulls, but Wade looks like he's ready to lead his team into the playoffs again.

Flop-o-rama. This team should attempt less flopping and more playing the game of basketball. Maybe that'll put some more wins on the board.

Bulls are 2.5 games back and will close that gap shortly. With Bulls on their heels and this team not playing that well, expect them to switch to panic mode. That's bad for business.

Chris Paul is back. That should bode well for this team to finish strong. But how will it bode for Darren Collison's minutes?

Same team, different year. Will anything ever change in Clipper-land? Blake Griffin has to be planning his escape already.

Tyreke will be a cornerstone for years to come. Now the key is to get some talent around him.

Looks like D'Antoni just wasn't the answer for these Knicks. Maybe free agency will be? Ha...maybe not.

Another lowly year for the Pacers. This team really needs to catch a break in the draft, because I don't see them luring any potential free agents. EVER.

Don Nelson honestly looks like he's napping on the sideline at every game. Can someone confirm that he's still coaching this team?

Oh, Ben Gordon. Perhaps your decision to move to Detroit was a little hasty?

Elton Brand looks like a shadow of himself. And right now, Andre Iguodala couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat. Get that man some glasses. This team will be rebuilding for years.

Franchise in disarray. Do they want to trade Big Al? Start Kevin Love? Fire Kurt Rambis? I don't think they know the answer to any of those questions.
